Each school is different and you need to know what they have to offer. Also some schools will not accept students based on species, seems even among misfits there are misfits. Finally each college has different tuition, classes, standards, and even party atmosphere. All the schools have some sort of sports teams and clubs that can help round out the students as well. The towns and cities surrounding each campus also tend to vary from big city to ritzy to everything in between. See below for more in-depth information.

North woods School
*History - This school was founded in 1989 by a fox anthro by the name of Trevlin. He was tired of only certain non-humans being able to attend schools specifically designed for them as well as the discrimination that went on due to social status. It was an up hill battle but he was finally able to drum up enough of an interest in such a school along with a modest amount of start up capital. Since this school wasnt as well known, nor were his future students members of high families, it took sometime to find those that qualified. Special care was taken when handling getting the word out about this radical new idea in higher education. But eventually students and faculty began filling the halls. The school still doesnt have the prestige of the others but all creatures involved are doing what they can to change that.
*Located - Since it's the newest of the schools there wasnt much out of the way land where it's inhabitants could stay hidden. Since this school was founded by free thinkers they decided to use the idea of hiding in plain sight. As such the campus of this school is located in the Back Bay area of Boston, Massachusetts.
*Clubs and Sports- debate team, mock trial, species pride, peer helper, habitats for all. They compete in most sports though they are known most for Hockey and Basketball.((more to be added as needed))
*Species allowed to attend - Any. This is the equivelant of a community college and everyone is welcome to attend. There are many scholarships and grants to ensure everyone can get an education.
*Species allowed to teach - Any though it is a widely held misconception among teachers that anyone who teaches here isnt a fraud anyways.
*Classes - Inter species relations, Urban survival, Myths and medicine, Politics for a better tomorrow, Liberal arts, College level math, languages of the world. ((more to be added as needed ))
*Additional information - School pride seems to be very strong here and fights have been reported due to another student verbally bashing North Woods.
*Tuition - 5000 a year (payable in US dollars or the preferred non human currency of gold)
*Atmosphere - As varied as the population. Some are here just to party while others actually want to study.....mostly it's a balance of both.
*Over all feeling about humans - Neutral to friendly with some even pursueing intimate relationships (these are a minority)
*Human habitat surrounding the campus - It's the Back Bay area of Boston so it's ranges from high class to homeless. The T subway can take you anywhere you want to go in Boston from Dunkin' Donuts to The Opera House.

Draco Academy:
*History - This is the oldest school in existence and no one knows exactly when it was founded. The lore of the school is that it was founded by the great dragonic council of 1689 as a way to train the most elite of their kind. At first it was for the children of the royalty and nobles to teach them the finer art of war. After a rebellion in 1820 by the general masses all dragons were allowed to attend, well as long as they could afford the extravagant price tag, if they promised to use their new knowledge to protect their homeland while swearing allegiance to their leaders. Many alumnis have been put in places of power in an attempt to keep the humans at bay and in their usual confused state.
On a side historical note of only trivial importance there is a long rivalry going on between Draco University and Gryphon Hall. This is because of the many bloody battles that the two species have fought against each other. Of course they still fight but they have resorted to the somewhat less bloody fields of such sports as football and hockey.
*Located - The campus is located near a small town in Vermont though the campus itself is in the Green Mountain area. Actually the campus itself is located inside one of the Mountains though no one but the dragons know it is a hollow enough area for such a massive school. There is also a group of cabins that resemble a campground that is the dorms for the students.
*Clubs and Sports- Future leaders, D.H.N (Destroy Humans Now), and Dragon liberation. When it comes to sports they participate in Football, hockey, track, wrestling, lacrosse, field hockey (While they frown on most human things they find these sports to be good for honing battle skills)
*Species allowed to attend - Previously it was dragons only and many of the faculty wish it would have stayed that way. However as more and more dragons have begun breeding with the commoners they began allowing mix breeds in 1965.
*Species allowed to teach - Dragons Only!!! No exceptions!!!
*Classes - Battle strategy, political science, history (though it's not exactly accurate), managing your minions ((more will be added as needed))
*Additional information - Students and teachers are required to attend the practice sessions every morning, rain or shine.
*Tuition - 20,000 gold per year. Students attend for at least four years and four years' worth is payable upon registration Freshman year. Transfers can happen but four years must be paid regardless of how many years the student actually attends.
*Atmosphere - Very militaristic and disciplined though the students still find ways to unwind. However instead of a regular party where friends (and whoever) hang out these young dragons have more organized events that is closer to a conference meeting than a party.
*Over all feeling about humans - The dragons that attend and teach here feel they are superior over all races, especially humans. Any dragon who doesnt feel this way is strongly suggested to attent North woods or some other "inferior" school.
*Human habitat surrounding the campus - The town is always trying to expand but "mysterious" things keep stopping progress. Plus a few alumini placed strategically in high political places doesnt hurt.

Gryphon Hall:
*History - Regardless of what the dragons think the Gryphons believe that their fine establishment was first. The gryph elders say that they were here before even the Native Americans though they cant prove that of course. This avianic feline race laid the first stones of their Academy about the time of the American Revolution though it didnt look anything like the grand cathederal like buildings that it does now. At first it was meant simply as a hiding place for gryphs who were loyal to the King of England but at his defeat that changed both in purpose and design. The proud creatures saw those humans around them as unlearned scoundrels and decided that, lest they should be come like them, they needed a way to better their race.
Progress changed around the campus as Washington DC became the new nations capital, the professors and students believe that that was thanks to the beautiful campus and the humans it attracted, the curriculum stayed the same....focusing on what the past alumni deemed important. Very little has changed since about 1880....granted as new information is discovered it is added to the curriculum....as long as it was a gryph who discovered it.
*Located - Just on the outskirts of Washington DC though this wasnt on purpose.
*Clubs and Sports - They say they have better things to do than play silly games like sports but they still want to out do their dragon rivals. For that reason they compete in any sport that Draco Academy does. There is also a debate team, Flight competitions, biology club, Beauty in flight, and more
*Species allowed to attend - Gryphons for the most part though there are a few hippogriffs that have attended.
*Species allowed to teach - Gryphons only and they must be at least 100 years old.
*Classes - Science of the universe, history of the races, lost languages, Poetry, Advanced medical, Laws of the land, Engineering and Architecture, and other classes that are considered "high brow". ((more to be added as needed))
*Additional information - Just because you are a gryphon and your parents may have attended here dont think you will automatically be accepted. This school has high standards and only the best will be allowed. Discipline for misbehavior is cruel with expulsion being the only course of action....you will not get a second chance if you screw up here. So either dont mess around or just dont get caught. Also this is not a four year college....expect to be here at least ten years before you get a degree.
*Tuition - 20000 gold may make exceptions and take US dollars but only on rare occasions.
*Atmosphere - While it isnt as militaristic as Draco Academy there is a certain air of unwavering snottiness of sorts. Class and ranks are very important here so dont expect to have an upperclass beast help you out and dont get caught by your peers doing a good deed for anyone who is less well off than you.
*Over all feeling about humans - They view the humans as dirt and dumb beasts. While they dont wish to dominate the hairless apes they wish they would simply blow themselves up...after all that would make things so much easier.
*Human habitat surrounding the campus - All of Washington DC is near them.

Mysterio University:
*History - Mysterio University was founded in the mid 1970's by an eccentric millionaire demon who loved collecting new artwork and music from up and coming young talent, especially that of his own race. He toured the entire world looking for things that caught his eye or made him really take notice. After awhile he realized it would be cheaper for him if there was one central place for new talent to come togethor. He found an old large musuem that he renovated to house a gallery as well as classrooms. Then he purchased a hotel to act as a dorm and Mysterio University was born.
*Located - In Las Vegas...with all the various lights, sounds, and other distractions it isnt hard to blend in when you are the most human like of the "misfits"
*Clubs and Sports - Anything and everything when it comes to sports though they are known for cheating.
*Species allowed to attend - Demons preferably but so few of this race actually enjoy doing artsy things....so they will take anyone with talent, just dont expect to be greeted with open arms.
*Species allowed to teach - Demons mostly with a spattering of others including a centaur and a fairie...for the most part the faculty is "humanesque".
*Classes - This is the artsy school with lessons in music history and composition, various painting classes, finding the right medium for you, and more.
*Additional information - This is the real party college out of the four. Lets face it, when you are in the "Sin City" how can you even try to study?!
*Tuition - 15,000 US dollars
*Atmosphere - Very laid back and kind of hippy like. Free thinking is encouraged and even the teachers arent the most responsible beings on the planet.
*Over all feeling about humans - They taste great with ketchup, they are a constant source of amusement, they shall be my slaves, and any other possible thought.
*Human habitat surrounding the campus - It's Vegas baby!
